Easter 2016

What a difference a year can make! Last Easter Wyatt was just a few weeks old and now here we are with our walking (almost running) everywhere toddler. It made for an interesting day! Not everything went as planned for the day, there may or may not have been quite a few temper tantrums thrown, but it was a good day nonetheless. Easter Sunday is a special day to me, I am grateful for the time spent to remember our Savior and the miracle of the Resurrection. I really hope that Wyatt grows to love this holiday as much as I do, not for the candy, egg hunts, or presents...but for remembering the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and expressing our gratitude for Him.

Our day consisted of easter baskets, church (unfortunately where the first temper tantrums for our toddler began), egg hunts, family pictures, ....and a few more temper tantrums. I will be the first to admit that I didn't exactly appreciate the temper tantrums, but I am hoping that later down the road we will look at these moments and laugh. "Remember that one time Wyatt literally screamed the entire way home from church on Easter Sunday?!" ....yeah....I hope I am laughing about that one some day. ;)

LAST EASTER: (A little flash back for memories sake)

And now for a few pictures of Easter 2016:

(This is the point at church where we got desperate and bribed with cookies. He is clearly showing off his success to the camera.)

(He wasn't going to give us a smile for this picture...even if we did bribe with cookies. Oh well!)

Here is to hoping next Easter involves a little less screaming. :)

  1. If it makes you feel any better, we are laughing about it already :) I'm sure we won't be laughing when it's our kids, but for now...hee hee!
